FBD Insurance County Championships
Following last weekends games in the FBD Senior and Premier Intermediate hurling championships, the way is now clear for the Quarter Finals in both competitions to take place on the weekend of September 24th and 25th. The draws for both competitions took place on Monday evening and resulted in some really mouth watering pairings. The draws are as follows: FBD Insurance County Senior Hurling Championship Quarter Finals, Loughmore Castleiney v Drom & Inch, JK Brackens v Upperchurch Drombane, Clonoulty Rossmore v Kiladangan and Kilruane MacDonaghs v Toomevara. In the FBD Insurance Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship Quarter Finals the pairings are Cashel King Cormacs v Burgess, Gortnahoe Glengoole v Portroe, Roscrea v Thurles Sarsfields and St Marys v Silvermines. In the Intermediate Hurling Championship, the Preliminary Quarter Finals will see Cappawhite play Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams while Kilsheelan Kilcash and Boherlahan Dualla will meet in the other game of the round. In the Senior Hurling Relegation semi finals, Moycarkey Borris play Eire Óg Annacarty Donohill and CJ Kickhams Mullinahone will face Templederry Kenyons. In the Premier Intermediate Hurling relegation semi finals it will be Newport v Kiladangan and Ballina v Carrick Swan. The pairings for the Quarter Finals of the Junior A Hurling Championship have also been announced, and are Upperchurch Drombane v Galtee Rovers, Lattin Cullen v Thurles Sarsfields, Moyle Rovers v Borris-Ileigh and Toomevara v Grangemockler Ballyneale.
