For a real taste of home baking visit Nenagh Country Market which takes place in the New Institute, Friar Street each Friday morning from 8.00am to 1.30pm. Locally produced goods include tarts, cakes, buns, fruit cakes, cheese cakes, lasagnes, quiches, breads, jams & chutneys, free range eggs, chickens and ducks. Terryglass Arts Festival 2014
Terryglass Arts Festival continues until Sunday 17th August. Headline acts performing during this year’s festival include singer/songwriter Jimmy MacCarthy who performs his “Prophecy/ Conspiracy?” concert in Terryglass Church on Friday 15th August at 8pm. There’s family entertainment at Terryglass Quay on Saturday night 16th August with performances from The Army Band of the 2nd Brigade and the traditional after dark monster fireworks display. Sunday is family fun day featuring The Gingerbreadman puppet show from Miriam Lambert puppets, The Exploration Dome with short colourful 3D films in a dome tent and a street performance from Buí Bolg. (Sunday 17th August from 1pm in Terryglass Village Square). Local food producers and craftspeople will showcase their produce with tastings and demonstrations from the best Co. Tipperary artisan producers. Providing jaw dropping musical entertainment is The Blood Red Mountain Band followed by Galway band Mikey and the Scallywags.
50+ Foods from An Irish Garden

Trip to Tipp 2014
The Trip to Tipp Weekend of Cycling takes place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th August from Thurles Sarsfields GAA Club in Thurles. The two day event consists of routes to suit all levels of cyclists.
This year there will also be a Family Fun Run and Walk on the Saturday. All proceeds from the weekend will go directly towards NCBI which makes available services to over 224,000 people in Ireland living with sight loss. All participating cyclists will receive a goody bag, refreshments and certificate of completion while all walkers and runners will receive a t-shirt, refreshments and a certificate of completion.
On Saturday, the 70K Three Counties Tour commences at 1pm, while the Family Fun Cycle, Run, Walk commences at 2pm, 2.30pm and 2.45pm respectively.
On Sunday, the 160K Cycle taking in the Vee commences at 9am, the 100K cycle taking in the Glen of Aherlow commences at 10:30am, and the 70K Scenic Tour of Tipperary also commences at 10:30am.

The Nenagh Farmers Market will take place on Saturday 16th August in Quintin’s Way from 10.00am to 3.00pm. An excellent selection of meats, baked produce, cheeses, sweets, fruit, vegetables and eggs will be available on the day.

Tipperary v Cork in the All Ireland Semi Final will be shown live in The Kenyon on Sunday 17th August at 3.30pm.
This will be followed by a Barbeque and live music by TMC from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.
6th Annual Pink Party at The Talbot
The 6th Annual Pink Party will take place in The Talbot on Sunday afternoon, 17th August. The event will kick off with a BBQ and Tipperary vs Cork in the All Ireland Semi Final on the big screen. This will be followed by live music from a number of acts including Beard of Zeus and Silent Wave.
Since the inception of this event €67,000 has been raised for the Mid Western Cancer Foundation at the Oncology Unit in Limerick Regional hospital and the Marie Keating Foundation.
All volunteers will be welcomed with open arms.
Unfortunately we’ve all been affected in some way by cancer and this is reflected in the amazingly generous backing of our community so please help us make this year’s party the biggest and most successful yet – Come down and get your Pink on.
