Things To Do In & Around Nenagh This Weekend

Nenagh Lawn Tennis Club Senior Open Championship

The Nenagh Lawn Tennis Club Senior Open Championship continues over the weekend. There will be a BBQ on Friday evening 27th June and Saturday evening 28th June. There will be live music on Saturday evening 28th June as the tournament draws to a close.

Fosset’s Circus Comes to Nenagh 

Fossett’s, Ireland’s National Circus is coming to Nenagh for five shows from Friday 27th June to Sunday 29th June. The shows will take place opposite the Lidl Shopping Centre on the Dublin Road. Friday 27th June - 7.00pm, Saturday 28th June - 2.00pm & 5.00pm, Sunday 29th June - 2.00pm & 5.00pm.

Ticket prices are as follows - Side Seat: Adult - €12, Child - €10, Centre Seat: Adult - €15, Child - €13, Ringside Seat: Adult - €18, Child - €16

Nenagh Pastoral Centre Art Exhibition

The Pastoral Centre Art Club will have the official opening of their art exhibition on Friday 27th June at 7pm. Everybody is welcome. There will be a daily exhibition from Saturday 27th June until Tuesday July 1st from 10am until 2:30pm.

Nenagh AFC Dinner Dance

Nenagh AFC will hold their Dinner Dance in the Abbey Court Hotel on Friday June 27th. Tickets €30.

Acquired Brain Injury Ireland Fundraiser

Molly Báns will host a fundraiser on Friday 27th June in aid of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland. There will be music with Nuala & PJ kicking off at 9.00pm.

The Friday night Music Session takes place in The Piano Bar at The Kenyon on Friday, June 27th from 10.30pm.

Tipperary Poc Fada Finals 2014

The county finals of the Long Puck will take place this Saturday 28th June on The Galtee Mountains. Participants are encouraged to enter the event and do battle for the honour of Tipperary Long Puck Champion 2014. Entries for the adult competition can be given to County Secretary Tim Floyd 087 - 2591747 or to Dinny Maher County Games Manager 086 - 3551830. The U16 competitions have taken place at divisional level, thanks to divisional and county Bord Na nÓg and each winner will represent his division at county level. We also welcome on board the camogie association.

Brendan Shine Live in Nenagh Arts Centre

Brendan Shine started his band with school pal Johnny Dawson as a drummer and singer over thirty years ago. In that time Brendan has performed in across the world playing Carnegie Hall in New York, The Royal Albert Hall in London and Sydney Opera House. He had three albums in the top 75 in the UK and in Ireland he has had 34 hit singles  - 15 of which were No 1.The biggest hit single  was ‘Do You Want Your Old Lobby Washed Down’. Brendan’s other big hits include ‘O’Brien Has No Where To Go’, ‘Catch Me if you Can,  ‘My Son’, ‘Carrots Galway Girl’ and ‘The Rose Of Castlerea’.

Hibernian Inn Senior Hurling Championship Quarter Finals

Nenagh Éire Óg will take on Kildangan on Sunday 29th June at 6.30pm in Dolla in the Hibernian Inn Senior Hurling Championship Quarter Final. Earlier in the day at 2.30pm in Toomevara, Burgess will play Moneygall in another of the quarter finals.

Mairead Performs in the Silvermine

On Sunday 29th June Mairead will perform in the Silvermine from 7.00pm to 9.30pm.
