Things To Do In & Around Nenagh This Weekend

Nenagh Country Market

For a real taste of home baking visit Nenagh Country Market which takes place in the New Institute, Friar Street each Friday morning from 8.00am to 1.30pm. Locally produced goods include tarts, cakes, buns, fruit cakes, cheese cakes, lasagnes, quiches, breads, jams & chutneys, free range eggs, chickens and ducks. A wide range of locally grown potatoes and vegetables are also available.

Bealtaine Festival at Nenagh Library - Film Fridays

Film fans, each Friday during May at 2pm Nenagh Library will screen one of the classics of the golden era in film. An opportunity to revisit some of your favourite films of yesteryear.

All our Bealtaine events are free of charge and open to all. Please phone Nenagh Library on 067 34404 for further information on any of our Bealtaine events.

The Nenagh Farmers Market will take place on Saturday 31st May in Quintin’s Way from 10.00am to 3.00pm. An excellent selection of meats, baked produce, cheeses, sweets, fruit, vegetables and eggs will be available on the day.

Webb Regatta - Shannon One Designs

Lough Derg Yacht Club will host Shannon One Design racing for the Webb Plate starting on Saturday 31st May at 11.00am. Six races will take place from Dromineer over two days. First Gun Saturday at 11:00am followed by BBQ that evening.

Nenagh Walk & Talk - Green Ribbon Event

The Green Ribbon Walk and Talk Campaign is aimed at getting people talking about mental health. The aim is to make the month of May every year synonymous with promoting open conversation of mental health and challenging the stigma of mental health problems.

The Walk and Talk group will start out at Áras Folláin, Tyone, Nenagh at 2.00pm on Saturday 31st May.

Munster Senior Football Championship Quarter Final

Tipperary travel to the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick on Saturday evening May 31st to take on Limerick in the Munster Senior Football Championship Quarter Final at 7.00pm. This game will be preceded by the clash of the same teams in the Munster Junior Football Championship Quarter Final at 5.00pm.

Tipperary Cup Final

Nenagh AFC ‘A’ will take on Cloughjordan ‘A’ in Ballymackey at 6.30pm on Saturday 31st May in the Tipperary Cup Final.

Froch v Groves followed by Pauric O’Meara

Froch v Groves Unfinished Business Live in The Kenyon on 4 screens on Saturday 31st May from 8.00pm. This will be followed by live music from Pauric O’Meara at 10.00pm. The live sport continues on Sunday with Tipperary versus Limerick.

Strictly Come Dancing with Kildangan GAA Club

Kildangan GAA club in conjunction with the North Tipperary Hospice are hosting a strictly come dancing event on Sunday 1st June (Bank Holiday weekend) in McGraths Bar Puckane with tickets now on sale from the dancers and the dance committee members.

It promises to be a great night with the 13 couples training hard for the past number of weeks. The tickets are priced at €15 so make sure to get yours before the weekend before they are sold out.
