Race announcer Kees Maas will make his debut on the Irish cycling scene during the third edition of the Visit Nenagh.ie Classic. Having travelled all over the world for cycling in the last 4 decades, Maas never travelled to Ireland before and is most certain looking forward to the Nenagh experience. Having interviewed all the famous international cycling stars including Irish legends Sean Kelly and Stephen Roche in previous years, the voice of cycling will demonstrate all his experience from and in front of the stage in Nenagh on April the 13th.
Kees Maas started his career in cycling as a race official, but turned to race announcer after his distinguished voice was discovered and became his trademark. Maas comes with plenty of experience to Nenagh, having previously been "employed' by the Giro D'Italia, Tour de France, Vuelta Espana and many World Championships and European Classics. April is a busy travelling month for the 65 year old Dutchman, before arriving in Nenagh he will be at the Grote Scheldeprijs in Belgium and the week after the Visit Nenagh.ie Classic he will be in Valkenburg at the Amstel Gold Race for yet another.
