The Caterpillar Poetry Prize – for a single unpublished poem written by an adult for children aged 7–11 – closes on 30 March, so still plenty of time left to pen the winning poem.
The prize consists of €1,000 and publication in the summer issue of The Caterpillar.
Last year’s winner Louise Greig had this to say about the prize: ‘I am a huge fan of The Caterpillar and was delighted and inspired by the competition.’ Louise has since gone on to clinch a publishing deal in the UK as a direct result of winning the competition.
