Successful Cookery Demo with Chef Stuart O’Keeffe in Aid of Aras Folláin

Aras Folláin Peer Support group held a very successful Cookery Demonstration hosted by Chef Stuart O’Keeffe at the Abbey Court Hotel last night. The evening kicked off with a drinks reception with Prosecco and Pink Lemonade to quench the thirst from the heat outside. There was also a Food Village with tables from Country Choice who supplied ample locally sourced cheeses for everyone to taste. Crossogue Preserves, Brocka on the Water, and White Gypsy Beer also had lots of samples for the crowds to taste. The other main attraction was the large Chocolate Fountain with lots of Fruit and Sweets to dip into.  


Chef Stuart kicked off proceedings in the kitchen and entertained the crowd by cooking up some very tasty yet easy to recreate recipes, which included Proscuitto Basil Wrapped Chicken and Strawberry Ricotta Tartlets. Aras Folláin also held a raffle which included a jersey from Donnacha Ryan and the apron worn by Chef Stuart on the night amongst other donated prizes. Annagh Minchin from Aras Folláin said ‘they were absolutely thrilled with the event and would like to Thank Everyone who helped to prepare the night and also everyone who donated prizes for the Raffle, it was a great success’


As promised we have all the Recipes just below for you all to download and recreate these delicious dishes at home. Chef Stuart said he was ‘delighted to have done the demo in his home town and was thrilled with how the evening went’.
