Silvermines take on Ballyduff in Semple Stadium, Thurles on Saturday next in the Munster intermediate hurling final.
Ballyduff beat Limerick champions Ballybrown in their respective semi-final at Kilmallock on a 2-13 to 0-14. Extra-time was required to seperate the sides - Ballyduff out-scored Ballybrown 0-6 to 0-1 in extra-time.
Ballyduff, who are managed by Patrickswell’s PJ O’Grady, lost last year’s Munster intermediate final to Effin.
Silvermines, managed by Thurles’ Paddy Moore and coached by Paddy McCormack, beat Ballina in the county intermediate final (2-21 to 0-10). The ‘Mines then beat Clare champions Ruan (1-15 to 0-6) and then An Rinn (0-13 to 0-11) at the semi-final stage.
