The North Tipperary Bord na nÓg Convention was held on Tueday, November 27th. 

In her excellent report secretary Marian Minehan gave a detailed report of all juvenile activities for the past year. In total there were 370 juvenile games played in North Tipperary and the secretary thanked all clubs for the use of their pitches, referees, officials and all clubs for their co-operation in the smooth running of all competitions. Marian also complimented all young players for the many hours of entertainment they provided during the year. 

In conclusion Marian paid tribute to Liam Hogan (the former PRO who retired in March), to David Moran (who stepped down as vice-chairman) and thanked chairman Mick Flynn and PRO Tommy Shanahan for all their help, support and advice.

Chairman Mick Flynn thanked all clubs and delegates for their help during the year. He also complimented Marian Minehan on the detailed secretary’s report. 

The chairman informed the meeting that this would be the last North Tipperary Juvenile Convention as a directive from Croke Park indicated that all sub committees would be selected by the County Board chairman - this directive will take effect in 2013. 

The chairman thanked all clubs who hosted tournaments and finals during the year and paid special tribute to clubs who had helped with the running of the All-Ireland Tipperary Supporters Club under-16A and under-16B tournaments.

The convention was also addressed by North Tipperary (senior) vice-chairman Dan Kennedy who complimented all for the professional manner in which juvenile affairs were organised. North Board treasurer Willie Lennox presented a detailed financial statement for the past year.

A motion from the Silvermines GAA Club requesting that the north division would organise an under-12 group 3B competition in hurling and football was passed.
