Our next Sunday outing will be the Club’s Annual Summer Social event which will take place on Sunday next 20th July. This will involve a Cycle /Walk this year. The walk will be 4 -4.50 hrs approx along the Lough Derg Walk from Ballina to Garrykennedy which commences in Garrykennedy at 11.00am for a bus transfer to Ballina. We would advise you to bring walking poles due to steep gradient coming down from Tountinna, good walking boots, drinks & a snack. There will also be a cycle around d the Lake taking in Garrykennedy, Ballina, Killaloe, Portumna, Puckane, Garrykennedy. Meet at Garrykennedy at 8.00 a.m. We welcome Nenagh Wheelers Members who are joining us on this cycle. Please contact Paddy Seymour on 086 8562444 for further details.
Following both the Cycle & Walk we will have a BBQ at Larkin’s Garrykennedy at 4.00 pm. All Members are welcome to join us for the BBQ as this is our Annual Summer Social Outing. Please let Mary Ryan 086 8305766 if you wish to attend as we need to confirm our numbers to Larkin’s as soon as possible.
Our Tuesday evening walks are proving to be a great success with new Members joining us every week.

Tuesday 15th July Keeper from Ballyhourigan – Meet at Costelloe’s Shop, Cimalta Rd. at 7.00 pm
Tuesday 29th July Devil’s Bit – Meet at Tyone Mills at 6.45 pm
Tuesday 5th Aug Tountinna/Arra Mountains – Meet at Gleeson’s Shop at 7.15 pm.

Our Thursday evening Walks which are classified as Grade C Walks of 5-8 km are at an easy moderate pace are mainly flat walks with short hills are building up a momentum with Members & are an ideal platform for prospective Members to sample walking at an easy pace.

Thursday 17th July Pilgrim Path, Kilcommon - Meet in Kenyon St Car Park at 7.00 p.m

We had a very successful Club Meeting onWednesday 9th July whereby Members whereby Members provided input into their choices for the Walk/Hike Programme over the coming months. Thanks to everyone who volunteered to Lead walks – full details of the Autumn Programme shall be updated on our Website shortly.
The Club’s Annual Weekend away shall take place on the 11th, 12th & 13th September. This year we shall travel to Killarney whereby a wide variety of walks shall be available.
