Our Sunday walk on Sunday 11th May proved to be a challenging A Level Hike up Keeper Hill (North Face) for the more experienced Members of the Club. A big thanks to Cyril McLoughlin who led the group in weather conditions more like November than May – the views from the top made up for the winterly conditions.
Our next Sunday Hike on Sunday 25th May will be to Lake Muskerry in the Galtees – there are spectacular views on this walk. Both A & C Walk Grades will be catered for – please contact Aidan Dillon on 087 9836750 for full details of either of these walks.
Our Tuesday evening walks are proving to be a great success with new Members joining us every week.

Tuesday 13th May: Millennium Cross, Arra Mountains - Meet at Gleeson’s Shop Portroe at 7.15pm
Tuesday 20th May Devil’s Bit - Meet Tyone Mills at 6.45pm
Tuesday 27th May Keeper Hill from Ballyhourigan – Meet at Costello’s Shop, Cimaltha Rd at 7.00pm

Our new schedule of Thursday evening Walks which are classified as Grade C Walks of 5-8 km are at an easy moderate pace are mainly flat walks with short hills are building up a momentum with Members & are an ideal platform for prospective Members to sample walking at an easy pace.
On Thursday 15th May Paddy Seymour will lead a group through Castlelough Woods – the woods are particularly spectacular at this time of the year when the “Bluebells” are out in full bloom. Anyone interested in this leisurely walk should contact Paddy on (086-8562444) or Maura Bowe on (086 836 0621)
