Nenagh Walking Club - Aonach Ar Siúl 11/11/2019

Members please note that the membership fee of €50 is now due. In order for members to avail of the full membership year of the club and Mountaineering Ireland which runs from November to October, we would advise all members to have their membership paid as soon as possible. Membership can now be paid on line, details on nenaghwalk.ie.

We had a very successful AGM and a large attendance. Preparations are now being made to celebrate the clubs 20th year in 2020 with very exciting things ahead with the highlight being our April weekend away in Aherlow. Watch local press for details as an invitation is being extended to all especially any past members of the club to join us on our walks next year.

As the club are now offering a wide variety of hikes on different days, it is important that note is taken of the day, departure time and departure point of the hikes. The schedule can be checked on nenaghwalk.ie.

Every Tuesday night meet at Tesco at 7.30 for a 9km walk around Nenagh By- pass. Further information from  Martin 087 2562454 or Mary 087 2265926.

The next Sunday walk is November 17th. Departing Kenyon Street car park at 10am to travel to Latteragh, which will consist of a walk around wood and gravel track. Contact John 087 2232923.

The next Thursday walk will be on Keeper (note change of walk) on November 28th. Departing Tesco Car park at 9am. Any queries to Pat 085 7256650.

Also watch out for the  return of our festival of walks daily from St Stephen's day to New Year's day which are a great success every year. These are the perfect walks to enjoy over the xmas period and especially for people who are thinking about taking up hill walking and joining the club for the new year, Watch out for further details over the next few weeks.

Non-members are welcome to do 3 walks before joining the club, however, we would ask that non members would contact the walk leader prior to the walk to ensure that they have the fitness level required for the walk and discuss walking gear requirement. Likewise any members unsure of hike suitability should ring walk leader before the hike. Hiking boots essential for all hill walks. Absolutely no runners.
