Tag Rugby at Nenagh Ormond

Last Saturday saw the third Ruck ‘n’ Roll Tag Rugby and Music Festival take place at Nenagh Ormond.  Despite the rain there was a great turnout of taggers who all enjoyed the day and night of rugby, music and craic.

Thanks to all the teams, referees and supporters and to everyone who helped to organise the event.  See you all next year!

New Season at Nenagh Ormond

After a nice break for the Summer, this week sees our Senior and Seconds teams return to training in preparation for the upcoming season.  The Senior XV had an outstanding 2013/14 season which saw them go unbeaten in Division 2B and gain promotion to Division 2A.  The club was very proud to have Nenagh Ormond player/coach Derek Corcoran named Ulster Bank Player of the Year for the Division and also to be recognised at the Munster Rugby Awards where the club was named Senior Club of the Year.

Far from becoming complacent, this year the lads are determined to make their mark on Division 2A.  This will be a tough task with the standard of the opposition teams jumping up a level but it is a challenge that this group will relish. The mostly home-grown team will see a small number of changes with the majority of last year’s group continuing to wear the red and white hoops with pride.  All fixtures, results and news will be available on our website (www.nenaghormondrfc.com) and find us on Facebook and Twitter for regular updates.

Nenagh Ormond Ladies

Nenagh Ladies also return for their preseason training this week after a very successful season last year.  The girls had an unbeaten run in Division 2 South which took them to the AIL Semi Final.  They hope to build on this experience and push for an even better finish in 2014/15.

The Ladies are currently recruiting new players for the coming season.  No previous experience is necessary so if you want to get fit, make new friends and be part of a great team call Sandra on 087 7916690 or Vanessa on 087 6464519 for more information.
