We hope all our swimmers had a brilliant summer, enjoyed the sunshine and hopefully got in some swimming practice. For those of you who didn't, its time to dust off your goggles and root out your swimming kit as season 2013/14 starts on Monday 2nd September.
Registration for existing members will take place on Thursday 27th August at 8pm in the Abbey Court Hotel. The committee encourages as many parents as possible to attend on the evening as it will also be an information evening on membership rules, parental responsibilities and gala protocol.
During the summer, the committee have investigated options for our swimmers to cater for the upcoming closure of the pool when work starts on the new leisure park and upgrading of facilities. Unfortunately this has been hampered somewhat by the fact the closure date has changed a number of times but the committee will provide and update on registration night and will be available to answer questions.
New Members: The club welcomes applications for new members. For all interested, full details with application form is available on club website www.nenaghswimclub.com The closing date for applications will be posted on the website shortly and published in next weeks notes.
We look forward to catching up with everyone and building upon the success and achievement of last season. Finally a well done to all our members for their achievements in the Leaving Cert. We wish them every success as they move forward in their chosen career paths and hope they continue their swimming. A special mention to Shane Cody who through his swimming has obtained a sports scholarship with UL
