Nenagh Neptune Swimmers at Askeaton Grade B Gala
Askeaton – March 15th. Nine swimmers from Nenagh Neptune swimming club competed in the Munster Grade B gala in Askeaton on 15/3/15. Well done to all swimmers who took part. All swimmers achieved personal bests and represented the club well on the day.
Congratulations to Lillian Dunne who achieved her Grade A times and will be competing in Grade A Galas going forward. Well done also to Conor and Mark Brennan who competed having just qualified for Grade B at the Mallow Gala the previous week and were a great support to all the swimmers on the day.
Medallists on the day: John Leahy - 2 Gold, Christine Ryan - 1 Gold and 1 Silver, Sarah O'Brien - 1 Gold, Brendan Quinn - 1 Silver and 2 Bronze, Patrick Finn - 1 Silver and Lillian Dunne - 1 Bronze.
Congratulations to Lillian Dunne, Sarah O'Brien, Christine Ryan and Brendan Quinn who qualified for the Munster Age Groups - Division 2 Gala in UL which runs from 10th to 12th of April. Best of luck to all our swimmers competing at a very competitive Munster level.
A special thank you to the parents who travelled and provided a huge amount of support to the swimmers on the day. Thanks to coach Uta Fietsch who worked very hard all day analysing swims and provided swimmers with some valuable feedback.
St Patricks Day Parade – March 17th. Nenagh Neptune Swim Club participated in the St. Patricks Day parade again this year. It was a great day for all the swimmers (and parents) who participated. There was a huge turnout of spectators on the streets of Nenagh helped by the fantastic weather. Our thanks go out to the organising committee for a very well run parade.
