Nenagh Invitational Gala – Our yearly invitational gala made a welcome return on 21st February in the Nenagh Leisure Centre after we had to skip a year as a result of the recent renovations. The gala was well attended and we were delighted to welcome swimmers from Limerick Swim Club, Askeaton Swim Club and Thurles Kingfishers.

All of the swimmers had a great day, particularly the young novice swimmers for whom this was their first competition. We send out our thanks to all the people involved in the organisation and running of the event on the day, particularly all the parents who carried out the timekeeping and turn judge roles on the day. We would also like to thank Tom Mackey and his team at the Leisure Centre for their support leading up to and during the event and John Dempsey for traveling out from Limerick to represent as the Swim Ireland official for the day.

Mallow - March 8th. Our Grade C swimming squads attended this Muster Grade C gala on Sunday. The Nenagh Neptune squad performed brilliantly on the day with some great medal wins, but more importantly, a huge amount of PB (personal best) times through all events. Congratulations to our swimmers who achieved their Grade B qualifying times on the day.

Medallists: James Finn (Gold) Boys 11 and Under 100 Free; Mark Brennan (Bronze) Boys 12-13 100 Free; Connor Brennan (Gold) Boys 14-15 100 IM, 50 Back and 50 Fly.

B Grade Times Completed: Mark Brennan 100 IM (1.42.03) ; Connor Brennan 100 IM (1.34.34) and 50 Back (44.03); Aoife Duggan 50 Fly (53.69)
