Nenagh Kickboxing Club Notes 28/01/2014

Last Sunday January 26th 2014, Students for Bo-Ju-kai Kickboxing Club travelled to The WKA Irish Open Eliminations which took place in the Crystal Leisure Centre, Cork Road, Waterford. The top 3 fighters would go on and travel to Italy to represent their country in the World Championships in October 2014.

Im delighted to say two Senior Students Simon Ryan and Paul Conroy who fought light contact continuous won in their categories and took first to secure their places in the Irish Squad travelling to Italy and are now National Champions for 2014.

Both fighters fought brilliantly on the day. The Eliminators were a big success with a huge crowd from all over Ireland attending on the day.

From all at Nenagh Kickboxing we wish Simon and Paul all the best at the World Championships.

There were 4 matted areas and 1 ring in use at all times. All kickboxing and all styles forms competition sections were available to compete in throughout the weekend

All sections were catered for across the board point, light Contact, full-Contact, low kick, k-1 and forms divisions, the top 3 in each category gaining access to the WKA Irish team once their club is a member of WKA Ireland.

The winner of each division became WKA National Champion for the year 2014. Certificates were awarded to all top 3 competitors.
