Condolences
It was with great sadness that we learned of the sudden passing of Noelie Tomlinson Junior early last week. Noelie played both hurling and football for many years in all grades with the club, winning many titles along the way. Among his achievements at juvenile level was an U14 North Féile hurling medal in 1993 and U16A North football titles in 1994 and 1995.
At adult level Noelie won a North Junior A league medal in 1998, North Junior A championship medal in 1999 and North Junior C medal in 2010 which was his last success with the club. He also played hurling and football with his school, Nenagh Vocational School, where he captained them to a Senior Football title in 1997. We extend our sympathies to Noelie’s parents Noel and Marian, brother Robbie, sister Tricia, his children Freyah and Noah and his extended family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
Harty Cup
MacDonagh Park was the venue for the Harty Cup semi final last Saturday between Ard Scoil Ris and Thurles CBS. It was the first day crowds were allowed into games again following the lifting of restrictions and it was great to see a big crowd present. Thanks to the Field team who had MacDonagh Park in great shape and thanks also to the stewards and everyone who helped out on the day.
