Minor A: The minor A hurlers lost to Newport Gaels on a 3-7 to 2-21 scoreline in Templederry on Thursday evening last. Great credit is due to Newport Gaels for a fine performance. This year’s Ger Gavin North Tipperary Minor A Hurling Championship is being played on a single group round robin format with the top four teams progressing to the semi-finals. While the Blues lost this encounter the Éire Óg lads have already beaten Toomevara, Ballina and Roscrea. The Blues’ remaining group games are against Borris-Ileigh and Kilruane MacDonagh’s.
