Inter-County: All the very best to Andrew Coffey, Shane Hennessy and Conor Ryan who are members of the Tipperary minor hurling panel which faces a crucial Munster minor hurling championship play-off against Clare in Cusack Park, Ennis on Wednesday, April 30th (7pm). Our best wishes also go to Michael Heffernan and Paddy Murphy who are members of the Tipperary senior hurling panel which takes on Kilkenny in next Sunday’s Allianz National Hurling League final at Semple Stadium, Thurles.

Civic Receptions: The Nenagh Éire Óg minor A team which captured the 2013 county title was honoured by Nenagh Town Council with a civic reception in the Civic Offices on Friday evening. The victorious minor A and junior B Camogie teams were also honoured as was Nenagh Handball Club.

Senior: On Sunday evening in Dolla the Nenagh Éire Óg senior hurlers registered a 3-18 to 0-18 win over the Templederry Kenyons. For a report on this game please see the club website. Next up for the Nenagh Éire Óg senior hurlers is another clash with the Templederry Kenyons on Sunday, May 11th - this time the sides will face off in the Hibernian Inn-sponsored North Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship. Éire Óg’s remaining group game in the Clean Ireland Recycling County Senior Hurling Championship is against Roscrea. That fixture is not expected to take place until the Hibernian Inn North Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship has reached a conclusion. On Saturday evening Clonoulty-Rossmore beat Roscrea 2-22 to 2-17.

Junior B: On Saturday evening at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh the Nenagh Éire Óg junior B hurlers endured their first league defeat losing 2-11 to 0-19 against Ballina. Following wins over Moneygall and Toomevara as well as a draw with Knockshegowna Éire Óg will be hoping to deliver another positive display. Your support would be appreciated.
