Congratulations: Our congratulations go out this week to club treasurer Séamus Cleary who was elected development officer with the North Board at Friday night’s meeting of the divisional board. Well done Séamus.

Well Done: A huge well done to Nenagh Éire Óg’s Tommy Heffernan and Dáire Quinn who contributed so handsomely to Saturday evening’s terrific Fitzgibbon Cup final. Both Tommy and Dáire featured for a University of Limerick team which battled to a stalemate against the defending champions Waterford Institute of Technology. After extra-time the game finished level - UL 3-12 WIT 0-21. Well done lads!

Éire Ógres: For the past four weeks Éire Óg have been running a GAA camp, entitled ‘Éire Ógres’, to introduce beginners to hurling at the MacDonagh Park complex. This free programme was aimed at boys born 2008-2010 to help improve their hand-eye coordination and agility in a safe and fun environment. The entire club was overwhelmed by the response to the programme. Congratulations to everyone associated with this stunning success story.
