Nenagh Éire Óg Club Notes - 19/05/2014

Nenagh Éire Óg Weekly Notes

Draw: The Nenagh Éire Óg senior hurlers have been drawn against Roscrea in round two of the Hibernian Inn-sponsored North Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship – that game is scheduled to take place on the week-ending June 8th. Should Éire Óg win that encounter they will progress to the quarter-finals.

Junior A: Ger Tucker’s junior A team returns to action on Saturday, May 24th when the lads face Burgess in Kilcolman at 7pm – this contest represents the side’s final game in the group phase of this year’s North Tipperary Junior A Hurling League.

Junior B: Congratulations to the junior B team which beat Toomevara 1-17 to 1-11 in Toome on Saturday evening and thereby qualified for the North Tipperary Junior B Hurling League semi-finals.

The Blues’ 10K Run: The Blues’ 10K Run, which has been approved by the Athletic Association of Ireland, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 15th at 10.30am – the event will also include a 5K fun run and family walk.

Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw: It is that time of year again when we ask all Blues to support the Tipperary GAA clubs draw. The prizes this year include twenty-four cars, thirty Lotto jackpots and many cash prizes. Please remember that 50% of your subscription to the draw comes back to the Nenagh Éire Óg – these funds are vital to the running of the club.

Lotto: Last week’s lotto jackpot of €2,900 was not won. The €50 lucky dip winners were: Mary Spillane (Richmond), Alan Kennedy (Dromineer), John Brett (Cormack Drive), Mary Keogh (Ballinaclough), Andrew Coffey (c/o Edde Sheary).
