Nenagh Éire Óg - Club Notes 18/03/2014

Challenge Cup: Nenagh Éire Óg progressed to the third round of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Senior Hurling Challenge Cup thanks to a 3-27 to 0-10 win over Ballina at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh on Sunday. For a brief report please see the club website.

Congratulations: Well done to Michael Heffernan who was selected to start for the Tipperary senior hurling team against Galway in the Allianz National Hurling League on Sunday. Congrats also go to Paddy Murphy who was introduced as a second half substitute. A huge congratulations also goes to Pearse Morris who featured on the Cork Institute of Technology team which won the All-Ireland intermediate final last week - CIT beat DIT 1-20 to 0-22 after extra-time in the final.

Management Teams Finalised: The management teams for the Nenagh Éire Óg adult, juvenile and Camogie club teams have now been finalised. Please the club website for further details.

Draws: The draws for the north Tipperary junior A and B hurling leagues were made last week. Nenagh Éire Óg enter this year's junior A league as defending champions and have been drawn in group one along with Burgess, Roscrea, Moneygall, Knockshegowna and Toomevara. The Blues' opening game is against Moneygall in Moneygall on Saturday, March 22nd (time TBC). In the junior B hurling league Éire Óg have been drawn in group two alongside Ballina, Borrisokane, Silvermines and Toomevara. Nenagh Éire Óg's first game will be at home to Silvermines in MacDonagh Park.

Membership: Membership for 2014 is now due and can be paid to any club officer or online. The cost of membership is priced at €25.
