Nenagh Éire Óg - Club Notes 13/01/2014

Medal Presentation: The Nenagh Éire Óg medal presentation night and dinner dance run in association with the Camogie club will take place in the Abbey Court Hotel on Saturday, February 1st. On the night the minor team, junior A team, minor Camogie team and junior B Camogie team will be presented with their respective medals. Tickets will be available from the club house at 8pm on Thursday, January 16th - alternatively tickets are available to buy from the organising committee. Tickets for this event are priced at €30. Organising committee: Josephine Mackey, Valerie O’Brien, Catherine Grey, Geraldine Quinn & Paul Henry.

Healthy Club Project: The Nenagh Éire Óg Healthy Club Project team will host a ‘Well Being and Mental Health’ night on Friday, January 24th at the Abbey Court Hotel (7.30pm). This event represents an opportunity for club members and the wider community to become informed on the many issues surrounding depression and mental health. Nenagh Éire Óg hopes to create awareness and offer hope in the areas of depression, loneliness and isolation. Speakers on the night include Conor Cusack, Tony Butler and Séamus Hennessy. In addition a number of organisations will be present with information.

Congratulations: Congratulations to Daire Quinn and Tommy Heffernan who were members of the University of Limerick panel which defeated Waterford in the Waterford Crystal Cup on Sunday afternoon. Congratulations also to Kevin Flynn who was a member of the NUIG team which defeated Laois in the Walsh Cup.

Sympathy: Our sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Jack Kennedy who recently passed away. Jack was a former treasurer of the North Board, an officer of Nenagh Éire Óg and a cherished supporter of the Blues. Ar dheis dé go raibh a anam dílis.
