Nenagh Éire Óg Club Notes - 10/06/2014

Senior: On Saturday evening at St Michael’s Park, Toomevara Nenagh Éire Óg enjoyed a 3-12 to 1-10 win over Roscrea in the Hibernian Inn North Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship. For a report on this contest please see the club website. That result propelled the Blues into the last eight of the competition - in the quarter-finals Nenagh Éire Óg were drawn to face defending champions Kildangan. Please check the fixtures section of the club website for an update on this game. The remaining quarter-finals will see Kilruane MacDonagh’s face Portroe or Ballina, Toomevara take on Borris-Ileigh and Burgess battle it out with Moneygall.

Junior B: Éire Óg’s North Tipperary Junior B Hurling League semi-final against Lorrha-Dorrha on Friday night ended in confusion. Although the Blues felt that the junior B team had won the game referee Martin O’Shea declared Lorrha-Dorrha one-point winners. A full report on this game is available on the club website. The club would like to wish Lorrha-Dorrha all the very best of luck in the final. The club would also like to thank the junior B panel of players for the manner in which they represented themselves and the club during the campaign. The team, led by manager Conor Ryan, will now focus their attention on the up-coming championship which is scheduled to begin on June 22nd.

Whether you are a new member or have been a member of the draw for a number of years everyone associated with the club really values and appreciates your support. Tickets are priced at €100 each and payment can be arranged in a variety of ways - for further information please contact draw co-ordinator Marion Ryan on 086 123 9222 or any club officer.
