Nenagh Eire Og Club Notes 06 October 2020

Junior-A

Commiserations go to our junior-A hurlers who, after a highly entertaining clash with Toomevara, lost out in the North final, 1-19 to 0-20. In a rip-roaring contest, both sides left everything on the field of play but unfortunately, it wasn't to be for a fantastic Éire Óg side. Congratulations to Toomevara on completing a brilliant four-in-a-row set of titles and we wish them the very best of luck in the county championship. The club wishes to thank the management team of Eddie Tucker, Paul Lillis, Derek Lillis, Bryan Darcy and Ger McCarthy for all of their hard work this year, first aid Bartley Ryan and the entire panel for their commitment.

Junior-C

Our junior-C North semi-final against Roscrea this weekend had to be postponed following a bereavement in the Roscrea club. We extend our sympathies to all in Roscrea. This game is likely to be refixed for next weekend.

Junior & Minor Football

Training continues for both the junior and minor teams. All are welcome. If you would like to start playing football for the club please contact managers Lenny Ryan, Brian Duffy and Shane Connolly or alternatively, send any of our social media channels a private message.

Charity Cycle – Living Links

On Saturday 8 August, Eddie Hynes, Eddie Tucker, Shane Connolly and about 50 other cyclists did a 110km/70miles lap of Lough Derg to raise money for Living Links Suicide Support. This is a wonderful charity that helps those who have been affected by suicide. Recently, a cheque for over €10,000 was handed over to the charity and we wish to congratulate all involved for their selfless work in raising these vital funds.
