Nenagh Éire Óg Camogie - Club Notes 30/05/2016

Sponsored Walk: A big thank you to everyone who sold lines, organised and participated in our annual sponsored walk on Sunday morning last.

Church Gate Collection: We wish to thank everyone who helped organise the annual church gate collection, those who collected money and especially those who kindly donated. We also wish to thank the local church for kindly allowing us to collect.

Under 8 & Under 10: Training continues as normal for these two panels and there will be blitzes in the near future for these teams.

Under-14: We defeated Toomevara last Monday in the championship and we face Éire Óg Annacarthy in our final group game on Monday. We have already qualified for the county semi final in this competition and it is expected to take place on this Wednesday.

Under-16, Minor & Intermediate: Training continues as normal for these panels. The intermediates have entered the Munster league which is due to start in the coming weeks while the under-16’s will participate in the Summer League commencing in July.

Race Night: We will be hosting a race night in The Hibernian Inn on June 17th. This is a social occasion for everyone in the club and we invite you all to attend what promises to be an enjoyable occasion. Committee members are selling tickets for the night.

County Board Draw: We encourage all our members to enter the County Tipperary GAA Board Draw. This is a vital fundraiser for the entire club and tickets can be purchased from any committee member.

Cumman na mBunscol: Hard luck to St Mary’s who were defeated in the county under-11 final in Semple Stadium last week. We send our congratulations to Ciara Morris, Eaobha O Brien and the Ardcroney team who won their final. We wish to take this opportunity to thank all the schools in the parish who promote Gaelic games. All the staff do this on a voluntary basis and it is very much appreciated by the club. Teachers and schools contribution to Gaelic games over the decades has been immense and our club has certainly benefitted from their generosity.
