Nenagh Éire Óg Camogie - Club Notes 07/04/2014

JUNIOR: Our Junior team played Lorrha Dorrha in an entertaining match in Lorrha on Sunday last. We put up a credible display against last years beaten county finalists and we took a lot of positives from the match. The final score was 2-08 to 1-05 with Aislinn O Brien scoring our goal. There were excellent performances throughout the field with Saoirse Gleeson, Rachel Maher, Zoey Gratton, Julie Moylan and Rachel Spillane all having fine games. We are playing Silvermines next weekend in Nenagh in the next round. Details of this fixture have yet to be finalised.

Under 14:  Our U14 team played Silvermines in the Feile na nGeal final in The Ragg last Saturday and put up a fantastic display only to be denied by a late SIlvermines free. Both teams were a credit to their respective clubs and we wish Silvermines the very best of luck for the remainder of this competition. We also played Ballina on Tuesday last in the opening round of the championship and were on the receiving end of a seven point defeat. Our next game is Tuesday night, 6pm, against Eire Og Annacarthy.

Civil Reception  On Friday April 25th our minor and juniors teams from 2013 will be honoured with a civic reception to acknowledge their wonderful achievements with both teams capturing county championship honours. All players and mentors are invited to attend.
