Nenagh Éire Óg Camogie - Club Notes 01/09/2014

Under 10: We played Borrisileigh in a challenge on Monday last. Thanks to Borrisileigh for the game.

Under 12: Our Under 12 team travelled to Ballinderry on Saturday last to take on Shannon Rovers in a game. A great day was had by all. Thanks to Shannon Rovers for the match.

Under 14: Our Under 14 team played Drom & Inch in The Ragg last Thursday in the second round and won by 2-10 to 0-02. We play Newport in Round 3 this Thursday at 6:45pm in Nenagh. We also played Killeedy in a challenge game last Saturday in Neangh. Killeedy were our hosts in the Feile na nGeal last year in Limerick and could not possibly have made us feel anymore welcome. It was a great game and fantastic opportunity to renew our friendship.

Under 16: We are due to play Silvermines next Tuesday at 6:45pm in Nenagh.

Junior A: Our match against Kildangan last Sunday was postponed and will be refixed for a future date.

Tipperary: Congratulations to manager Greg Browne and the Tipperary Under 14 team which captured the Orla MacDonagh blitz on Saturday last. Caroline Browne, Niamh Sheridan, Rachel Browne, Rachel O Connor, Lily Purcell, Becky McGrath, Leah Kelly and Saoirse Shanahan were the Nenagh representatives on the panel. Well done to all involved.

The Tipperary Under 15 team played in an All Ireland blitz in Portlaoise over the weekend. We were represented on the panel by Laura Tierney, Sarah Kennedy, Kate O Connor and Leah Sheedy. Well done ladies.

Sympathy: We wish to extend our condolences to the Cusack and Heffernan families following the passing of Paddy Joe Cusack recently.
