Nenagh Eire Og - 21 August 2020

Senior Hurling

Our senior hurlers recorded a 2-20 to 1-14 win over Éire Óg Annacarty Donohill in the final group game of the FBD Insurance senior hurling championship in The Ragg on Saturday evening. A first-half penalty goal by Jake Morris following a foul on Tommy Heffernan added to by a late Adam Carey three-pointer ensured the win which sees us qualify for the county quarter-finals in second place in the group.

Junior A Hurling

Our junior-A hurlers play Roscrea next Saturday evening. Please check our website for further details of this match when they are confirmed.

Minor Hurling

Our minor hurlers were due to play Ballina last Wednesday evening in the semi-final of the North championship but due to the untimely passing of Ms. Karen Meagher the game had to be postponed. Our club sends its deepest sympathies to her husband Joe, sons Conor, Jack and Bobby, her extended family, her wide circle of friends and to the Ballina club. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam. The match was played on Tuesday evening but we did not have the result at the time of going to press.

The Men of ’95

Our county senior final winning team of 1995 were due to be honoured at this year’s county final, however, due to the current restrictions on attendances at games the decision has been made to defer this celebration until the 2021 decider.
