Brendan Shine’s Nenagh Concert - Saturday, 15th June
Troubadour Brendan Shine is all set for a visit to Nenagh in June.

With five number one singles tucked safely under his belt, his songs were firmly lodged in the mind following long spells at the top spot for all.
Shine started his band with school pal Johnny Dawson as a drummer and singer over thirty years ago. In that time Brendan has performed in across the world playing Carnegie Hall in New York, The Royal Albert Hall in London and Sydney Opera House. He had three albums in the top 75 in the UK and in Ireland he has had 34 hit singles - 15 of which were No 1.The biggest hit single was ‘Do You Want Your Old Lobby Washed Down’. Brendan’s other big hits include ‘O'Brien Has Nowhere To Go’, ‘Catch Me if you Can,  ‘My Son’, ‘Carrots Galway Girl’ and ‘The Rose Of Castlerea’. Brendan’s latest album ‘Where Did You Meet Her’ was released in 2012 along with a dvd ‘Lily Of the West.’

Classical Guitarist John O’Shea’s bite sized concert
Interested in checking out some classy classical music at a neat price? Guitarist John O’Shea plays in Nenagh Arts Centre on Saturday the 8th of June and brings all the skills and flourishes of the trade with him.
Having studied for many years with Michael O’Toole at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, John went on to complete his studies with a Masters in Guitar Performance at the USC Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles. At USC, John studied with Scott Tennant, founding member of the Grammy award winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet and under the tutelage of Maestro Pepe Romero.  John has also taken lessons with many of the world’s most famous guitarists including David Russell, Paul Galbraith, Oscar Ghiglia and Xuefei Yang.

John will play some Giuliani, Rodrigo and Handel as well as his own arrangements of Irish music at the concert in Nenagh
The concert takes place at 8 p.m. on Saturday 8th June. Tickets are great value at a bite-size €5, on the door or online at www.nenagharts.com.
