Nenagh Arts Centre Presents its Spring Programme

Nenagh Arts Centre’s new programme for the upcoming Spring 2015 period is now available and features a wealth of local and national talent.

Speaking this week, manager Brendan Maher said: “We’re delighted to get some high calibre acts into the Centre for the new year and we hope we are reaching a diverse audience with a diverse programme. In relation to drama,  we’re particularly excited to have the new Fishamble play ‘Underneath’ playing here in March. Pat Kinevane has produced some startling work in the last few years and this is no exception. Local actress Áine Ryan performs her well-regarded show ‘Kitty In the Lane’ in January and we have the new Nenagh Players show in February.

We have Barnstorm Theatre coming in February with their children’s play ‘Monday’s Child’ and we are screening some movies as part of our broader children’s programme also. Cinema in the Town Hall returns with Irish director Donal Foreman’s ‘Out Of Here’ on January 22nd and we have films from Germany, France and America.  In music, The Fureys will play their rescheduled concert on March 28th; The Nualas bring their comedic musical touch earlier that month and we have classical concerts with guitarist John O’Shea in February and Trio Elatha on January 10th.

The programme also include a number of Nenagh related events, a concert evening in relation to the Munster Fleadh, the new film from Alan Brown about the Cormack Brothers and the annual St. Patrick’s week concert Omós Phadraig.

We think some of the individual events might make good Christmas presents and the public can book online or at the Arts Centre. Tickets are online at www.nenagharts.com. Phone booking from the Arts Centre in Banba Square on 067 34400.”
