According to a new survey which looked at where the most Valentine's goodies are being bought, Nenagh has been named as the 5th most romantic destination in Ireland.
Arklow in Co. Wicklow topped the poll in the Tesco commissioned survey. Cards, flowers and chocolates are the most popular gifts bought in the run up to Valentines Day. The survey also showed that more husband cards are bought than wife cards and 6.00pm on February 13th is when the majority of cards are purchased.
Steak and strawberries are the most popular foods consumed on Valentines night. Steak sales rise by 30% and is the preferred main course while for dessert couples tend to go for the strawberries and cream with sales rising by 15-16%.
With eight days left until Valentines Day it would seem that people in the Nenagh area are in for a real treat.
