Portroe v Borrisokane

Borris-Ileigh v Moneygall

Templederry Kenyons v Nenagh Éire Óg

Silvermines v Ballina

Roscrea v Kilruane MacDonagh's

Kildangan v Toomevara

The seven first round winners will be drawn to play the seven first round losers in Round 2. The teams that win both games will go through to the quarter finals while those with one victory after both games will be entered into a play off. Two defeats will see teams exit the championship.
