Foroige Nenagh Youth Development Project to Receive Funding

Fine Gael Tipperary TD, Noel Coonan, has welcomed the announcement of funding for three Tipperary youth projects by the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs James Reilly.

"I am delighted with this funding for local youth organisations for medium scale equipment and upgrades.

“Tipperary SPY (Special Project for Youth) has been allocated €14,810 to upgrade I.T. equipment, upgrade soft equipment for youth premises, purchase of equipment to support programme development," said Deputy Coonan.

"Tipperary Youth Information Project is to benefit from €11,345 in funding to upgrade I.T. equipment, and install integrated communications network for Youth Information centres, purchase of software updates, purchase of equipment to support software development.

"Foroige Nenagh Youth Development Project is to receive an allocation of €10,256 towards to upgrade and replace office equipment and furniture, I.T. and media equipment, games consoles and outdoor signage.

"All of these organisations are very deserving of this tranche of funding approved by my colleague Minister James Reilly.

"The aim of this capital funding scheme is to provide much needed assistance to youth projects to improve the facilities and equipment available for their work with young people in their communities," concluded Deputy Coonan.
