Looking for something for the kids to do, next week? Well, Nenagh Arts Centre presents a series of workshops next week for children and young people who might have a little time on their hands during the Easter break.
On Monday 14th, there’s the day-long Marshmallow Arts Workshop for 8-12 year old where the children are encouraged to make their own works based on the secrets of the great Artists. Tuesday 15th is for 12-16 years olds interested in knowing how a band is set up in the venue. Lights, speakers and sound and how they all come together will be looked at in the AMP workshop.
On Wednesday, the 16th there are two sessions of Chess for Beginners, so young people get a chance to begin to develop their skills for this wonderful game of strategy and battle as knights, bishops, and queens go to war to kill the King. And finally, on Thursday 17th, at 3 p.m., there is a special screening of the Oscar-winning movie ‘Gravity’, starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney as two astronauts, adrift in space, fighting to save their lives.
Times and prices for all workshops and events are on the Arts Centre website: www.nenagharts.com or from the Arts Centre in Banba Square.
