Local girl Marion Slattery will be flying the Tipperary Flag as she competes to become Sydney's entrant in the International Rose of Tralee 2014. Marion, from Toomevara, moved to Australia in July 2011 and is working as an Occupational Therapist in a private rehabilitation hospital on Sydney's North Shore. Marion has a huge interest in Irish tradition music and plays a lot in trad music scene in Syndey. She will be competeing against 12 other contenders and the winner will be announced in 6 weeks time.
