Ballina took on St. Brendan’s, Ardfert (Kerry) in the AIB Munster Intermediate club hurling semi-final at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh on Sunday 3rd November. Ballina got off to a great start and coupled with two goals in the latter stages of the first half were 2-13 to 0-06 up at half time.
St. Brendan's, Ardfert did come into the game more in the second half but Ballina stood strong and came out victorious on a scoreline of 3-19 to 0-15.
Ballina will now play the winners of the replay between Whitegate (Clare) and Youghal (Cork) in the AIB Munster Intermediate club hurling final on Sunday 17th November.
