It was a reverse of fortunes in the second half with Ardcroney playing much better, but Clodiagh getting the breaks with a goal five minutes into the second half. After this they piled the pressure on until snatching an equaliser with five minutes to go. Philip Blackwell was denied a sensational winning goal by a fine save from the home team ‘keeper. The lads are away to Nenagh Town B at 11.30am this coming Sunday.

Youths: Ardcroney youths had an excellent 6-0 victory over Lough Derg on Saturday. Ardcroney started the game at pace and were rewarded after twenty minutes when Cormac Houlihan’s corner went straight in. The lead was doubled and then trebled by Chris Fogarty just before halftime leaving the score at 3-0. Ardcroney didn’t let up and Chris Fogarty sealed his hat-trick on sixty-five minutes. A debut goal from Mike Gavin and a goal for Brian Dooley rounded off the scoring and an impressive display.
