Plans are continuing for the Áras Folláin fundraiser with celebrity chef Stuart O’Keeffe at the Abbey Court Hotel on Wednesday 18th June.
Stuart who resides in Los Angeles is currently back home in Nenagh and will be attending the Taste of Dublin 2014 festival from Friday 13th June to Sunday 15th June where he will be conducting 20 minute Q&A sessions with top tips.
All roads then lead to the Abbey Court on Wednesday 18th June where Chef Stuart will carry out a Cookery Demonstration to help raise funds for Áras Folláin in Tyone, Nenagh. Áras Folláin was founded in 2005 and promotes wellness and recovery for people who have experienced mental health difficulties or those who are at risk of mental ill health through social isolation, family circumstances, relationships, financial circumstances, disability or unemployment. It is a community based centre, open to all and offers ongoing training courses, arts and crafts programmes and an information centre.
On the night there will be a complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival and an opportunity to explore the food village before Chef Stuart comes on stage. Local Nenagh business Country Choice will have a cheese tasting stand which is sure to be a big hit with everyone. Crossogue Preserves from Ballycahill, Thurles will be showcasing their hand produced jams, chutneys and relishes. These are all made using traditional cooking methods and contain no artificial colourings, flavourings or preservative. Local entrepreneur Paul McEvoy from Cloughjordan will have have a 44inch chocolate fountain serving strawberries, marshmallows, fruit and fudge. Chef Stuart will also have a stand on the night where you can purchase from his new range of branded aprons.
