The Annual Fundraiser Charity Ride at Ballycommon which was held on the Sunday 16th March in aid of The One in Four Charity was another great success and has raised over €13,000 for the Charity.
There was great excitement to start the day off with the Puissance Wall being attempted by the majority of the jockeys, young and old, with the spoils going to Eddie O’Connell of Kilcommon for the Horse Wall and Dearbhail Flynn, Emily Meagher and Maria Moloney, all from the Nenagh Pony Club, for the Pony wall.
Over 160 Horses and Riders took on the course of natural and manmade fences, which provided lots of thrills and spills throughout the day. These ‘Thrills & Spills’ will be showcased this Friday Night 28th March at The Thatched Cottage Ballycommon, with a 45 minute DVD as well as lots of Pictures taken on the day.
This fantastic event has raised over €13,000 for the One in 4 Charity and this is still rising with sales of the DVD of the Day. Next year the Fundraiser Charity Rise Ballycommon will aim to raise much need funds for the Nenagh Special Summer Camp. Well Done to all involved in this event and continued success in the coming years.
