An Post Ras Coming to Nenagh

After a very successful Visit Nenagh Classic we are now looking forward to Stage 2 of An Post RAS coming to Nenagh on Monday 20th May and Stage 3 departing from the town the following morning. The An Post Ras is Ireland's number one cycling event and we are delighted to announce that the Visit Nenagh.ie cycling team will participate and are ready and raring to go.

The An Post Ras gets underway in Dunboyne, Co. Meath on Sunday 19th May and will continue for 8 days around Ireland over a route designed by cyclist Stephen O' Sullivan who is a former stage winner and 18 year veteran of the event. There will be stage finishes in Longford, Nenagh, Listowel, Glengarriff, Mitchelstown, Carlow, Naas and finally Skerries. The race will cover a total distance of 1180 kilometres and will include 33 categorised climbs.

On Monday next 20th May there will be entertainment in Pearse Street, Nenagh, the Berg Go Karts will be present, live music from the stage and off course shops and restaurants will be open for business. The Nenagh Farmers Market will be open in Quentin’s Way from 1.00pm to 5.00pm where an excellent selection of meats, baked produce, cheeses and sweets will be available to taste and purchase.
