This weekend sees the inaugural hosting of Ireland's largest Dive Expo in Nenagh. The Abbey Court Hotel will be bustling with members of the scuba diving world from all over Ireland and abroad. Over 1500 visitors are expected to attend the show on the 28th February and 1st March. The show, which is the first of it's kind for Co. Tipperary is being hosted by Lough Derg Sub Aqua Club in association with the Irish Underwater Council.
The show boasts an unrivalled programme of speakers who will cover a wide variety of topics relating to diving and the underwater world. It will also have a magnificent photography exhibition with a large display of images taken by underwater photographers over the past 12 months. If that wasn't enough, there will be a trade show at the event where national and international companies will exhibit their wares. Overall it is just a fantastic opportunity for divers, snorkellers and lovers of the sea to gather and catch up on the year just passed.
Dive Ireland 2015 was officially launched on 13th January by Minister Alan Kelly in the Abbey Court Hotel at a function which was well attended by past and present members of Lough Derg Sub Aqua Club, representatives of the Irish Underwater Council and several local councillors, local tourism bodies and local media.
