Situated at 42 Summerhill, Nenagh, Una Powell's has been a pub/grocery since the mid 1800's. It was purchased in 2007 by James and Laura Kelly, from the Powell family who had traded there for 75 years.
Very little has changed in that time. The listed shop front leads to the original unchanged interior, where customers can sit in comfort by the open fire in the parlour or relax in the kitchen.
Una's, as it is called by the locals, offers an extensive range of wines and spirits from around the world. As well as the standard fare, there is a selection of craft beers available, with the emphasis on Irish brands. A new addition to the pub is a conservatory and beer garden, which is an ideal venue for parties of all types. Food and music can be provided on request. This new area, blended with the original bar really does make Una Powell's a pub for all generations.
