The 22nd Annual Christmas Swim took place at Youghal Quay on Christmas morning where there were a record number of participants which resulted in a figure of €20,820 being raised.
The presentation night took place in Barry's Newtown on Saturday, January 11th and those to benefit from the fundraising were The Alzheimer's Society (North Tipperary Branch), Nenagh-Puckane Autistic Education Units and Newtown Defibrillator Project.
Frank Moloney presented a cheque of €8,910 to Mary Dwan of the North Tipperary branch of the Alzheimer's Society. Muiris O'Keeffee also presented a cheque of €8,910 to Mary Slattery and Avril Mounsey for the Nenagh-Puckane Autism Unit. Nóilin Ryan of the Newtown Defibrillator Project received a cheque for €3,000 from Vincent Kyne.
Tony O'Flaherty extended thanks to all who were involved in any way with the successful running of the annual event.
