Borrisokane Community College have been actively fundraising since April last year for their newly opened Autism Centre. The Parents Association organized a Monster Raffle with a Peugeot 208 as 1st prize and tickets were on sale for the previous 8 months leading up to the draw on December 31st last.
A target of €100,000 was set at the start of the campaign and due to the hard work of everyone involved the final total came in at just over €110,000. This money will now go towards purchasing equipment and providing activities for students who attend the newly opened centre.
The winner of the Peugeot 208 car was Paddy Hayes, Holycross, second prize of €2,000 went to Lisa Reddan, Nenagh and third prize of €1,000 was won by Jo Morrissey, Silvermines.
In what was a hugely successful event the Parents Association would like to thank all who helped in the fundraising and all who supported the various activities.
