BOOK HERE
During July we will be exhibiting the work of textile artist, Loretta O’Brien, in her latest exhibition of patchwork quilts, Kandinsky, Triangles and Thread.
This workshop will be led by Loretta, a self-confessed “patchwork addict” and community educator who has been quilting for 40 years and has a mission to share her love of sewing with others.
In this workshop Loretta will teach some of the more unusual piecing techniques for patchwork, such as Tanuki, which involves diamond and square patterns. This workshop will provide you with inspiration and skills that you will be able to use in your textile creations in the future.
The workshop will involve simple hand sewing. No experience is necessary and all over 16s are welcome.
Generously supported by the Arts Council, so FREE of charge to you.
