The annual Marshmallow Arts Camp for kids aged 7 to 12 years starts in Nenagh Arts Centre on Monday July 1st.
Manager at Nenagh Arts Centre Brendan Maher said this week: “We’re looking forward to our camp again this year and doing some new projects with the children involved in both visual arts and music. In visual arts, we’ll concentrate on doing project that have famous artworks as their basis, so the kids get some knowledge of art history as well as the practical side. It’s all about the children having some fun and having a good solid week of painting, drawing and music-making. We’ll also be screening some interesting short film classics and new animations for the kids during breaktimes.”
The camp runs from 10 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. from Monday 1st – Friday 5th of July. The camp is fully supervised and parents or guardians should provide a lunch and snacks for their children to bring with them.
