BRIDGESTONE AWARD "Best in Ireland 2011, 2012 and 2013.
A classic film is Stanley Kubrick’s 1968 science- fiction epic ‘2001 A Space Odyssey’, which remains hugely influential today. The famous first sequence shows us the moment in evolution when ape-men learned to use tools before jumping forward to the 21st Century world of space exploration, where an all-too-human space shuttle computer ‘HAL’ has become aware and plots against the astronauts on board. Simultaneously featuring a psychedelic ride through the galaxy, and posing philosophical questions on man’s existence; this film was rightly billed on its first release as ‘the ultimate trip’!
