Nenagh Ormond Notes

Golf Classic

Nenagh Ormond RFC’s Golf Classic is back!  The event takes place at Nenagh Golf Club on Friday, July 3rd.  This is a four person team event and you can arrange tee times and sponsorship of tee boxes by contacting Keith on 086 0291626 or Mike on 086 8364773.

Details available on our website, Facebook & Twitter.  This was a very successful and enjoyable event last year and we hope to see you there again!

NORFC Youth Section

Nenagh Ormond RFC would like invite anyone who is interested in volunteering with the youth section of our club next season to contact our Youth Coordinator Paul Collins at paulcollinsnorfc@gmail.com.

There are opportunities to coach, manage or assist at all age grades from Under 7 to Under 18. If you are interested in finding out more or expressing an interest in acting as a head coach, assistant coach or team manger please email Paul at the address above.

In addition to these roles we are always keen to hear from people who may be interested in helping out in other ways, such as: becoming a member of the committee, organising transport, helping with parking on match days and any number of activities that support our young people to have fun and enjoy their time with the club.

Summer Skills

Perfect your skills and work on your fitness ahead of the 2015/16 season!  Summer Skills Sessions take place every Wednesday at 7.30pm and Saturday at 12pm.

These sessions are aimed at our younger players from Under 16 upwards and, without the pressure of matches at the weekend, they are a great way to focus on developing the individual players.

Ruck n’ Roll – Save the Date!

Nenagh Ormond’s Annual Tag Rugby Festival, Ruck n’ Roll, will take place this year on Saturday, August 1st.  Teams will compete in four different categories, meaning that all levels are catered for from complete beginners to experienced players.  Squads will consist of 12 players, with a minimum of 2 girls on the pitch at all times.

As always, the sport will be followed by plenty of music, food, entertainment & craic!  This year popular band the Electrix will headline and their blend of current and classic pop and rock songs will be sure to satisfy all tastes.

Stay tuned on our website, Facebook and Twitter where more details will be released in the coming weeks.

Munster Rugby Summer Camp

Munster Rugby will hold a week-long Summer Camp at Nenagh Ormond RFC from Monday 10th – Friday 14th August.  Camp places are available for boys and girls from 6 years old to 12 years old.  Camp takes place between 9.30am and 1.30pm each day for the week.

Children will get the chance to make new friends, learn more about rugby values such as team work, respect and integrity, while learning to develop their rugby skills.  Participants are divided by their age into groups to facilitate this.

The camps are managed and run by fully accredited IRFU Mini Rugby coaches.  All Summer Camp staff have undertaken the National Garda Vetting process.

To book a place for your child, you can download a form either on the Munster Rugby website or on our own website www.nenaghormondrfc.com.
